The lead partner of the EU Arts Live project, ICS Sverige supervised the acquisition of interactive broadcast technology, equipment, and training needed for the project’s historic broadcast schedule (See “Our Project”). ICS Sverige’s director John Paval promoted the project at performing arts and digital technology conferences across Europe, in Latvia, France, Romania, and Sweden. ICS Sverige has history of producing performances based on Nordic cultural icons like Sigrid Undset, Zarah Leander, and Hjalmar Soderberg. In addition, ICS has substantial experience with the use of livestream technology for international networking and training in performance skills.
Compagnie Interface has over 20 years experience with video and live broadcasts of its unique dance/theatre/lyric productions. The company regularly performs in Paris, throughout France, in Switzerland, and Rejoicing”) are planned for October 2020. abroad in China, Morocco, Tunisia, Jordan, and Italy. Interface is also the organizer of the annual Balcon du Ciel Festival each August. Together with the Compagnie TransAtlantique, Interface produced daily live broadcasts of its internationally acclaimed “Vive la Vie” at the Avignon Festival “Off” in 2019 in interactive 360° VR format. Interface then produced 18 live VR broadcasts of dance, theatre, and musical concerts at the Balcon du Ciel Festival in August 2019. Additional live broadcasts of Interface’s latest creation, “Noces de Joie” (“Joyful Wedding”) took place at the end of 2020 in collaboration with Teatrul a Propos and ICS Sverige.
La Compagnie TransAtlantique has been producing high quality theatrical productions since 1991. Its numerous productions at the Avignon Theatre Festival “Off” have repeatedly had the distinction of both sold out performances and widespread critical acclaim by festival journalists. The Compagnie TransAtlantique produced two daily live broadcasts at the Avignon Theatre Festival “Off” 2019. The Breakfast Journal presentied backstage news and the latest events with top festival artists and organizers as guests. The Online Showcase presented performances by a variety of artists appearing at the festival. Compagnie TransAtlantique also oversaw the highly successful social media campaign for the Arts Live project which reached over 1 million screens across Europe.
Founded in 2006 by Director Radu Popescu and a collective of dynamic young artists, Teatrul’s mission is to create innovative performances on the burning issues of the day in new spaces and contexts. Teatrul A Propos also puts an emphasis on promoting the theatrical arts among Romanian youth. Since 2009 the company has been the organizer and manager of the Bucharest Fringe Festival, the largest independent theatre festival in Romani Teatrul’s contribution to the EU Arts Live project included live 360° VR broadcasts of a series of performances from the 2019 Fringe. These included the broadcast premiere of “Bonds of Trust” (Cercurile increderii), Radu Popescu’s award winning production about adolescents struggling with the wounds of intergenerational distrust. https://www.facebook.com/EUArtsLive/videos/549586689111101
Since its founding in 2013, Operetes Teatris has produced more than 48 operettas and 52 concert performances, before more than 27,000 spectators. Popular productions have included "Clivia” by Nico Dostal, Lehar’s "The Merry Widow" by Franz Lehar, and "Ball im Savoy" by Paul Abraham, as well as "Paukojam un smaukojam", a musical for children by Latvian composer Arvids Zilinskis. libretto by Enid Blyton. Since 2015 Operetes Teatris also founded and produces the biannual Latvia Operetta Festival on the open air stage at Ikshkile, Latvia. Plans to produce live broadcasts from the 2021 edition of this biannual festival are underway.
Provided revolutionary technology for an online broadcast platform carrying both live 360 VR Video and live broadcasting of up to seven video streams of a performance on a viewer controlled interactive video display. (See Broadcast Pages).
Social Media and Digital Marketing Consulting Conceived, designed, and executed a social media campaign which reached over 1,000,000 screens online across the European Union. Created the EU Arts Live logo with the silhouette of the company’s founder, dancer, choreographer, documentarist, Emily Bramly. (See photo at right.)
With roots in Sarajevo and operations in Malmo and other cities in Sweden, Balkan Giants supplied both website design and construction services as well as digital and VR video editing and composition.
